About Simran Randhawa
I am an undergraduate student-athlete at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute pursuing a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering while competing in collegiate basketball. My passion for healthcare and mathematics from a young age led me to biomedical engineering, where I can apply analytical problem-solving to improve patient care and performance outcomes.Through my coursework and laboratory experience at RPI, I’ve developed a strong foundation in engineering analytics, physiological system modeling, and biomedical technologies. I’m especially interested in sports biomechanics and injury prevention specifically using data, mechanics, and device innovation to better understand human movement and optimize athlete health and recovery.In addition, I have experience with programming and computational analysis through tools such as MATLAB, C++, and Python, and I am open to applying coding in research, device development, and data-driven healthcare solutions. My technical skill set also includes CAD, engineering modeling, and statistical analysis, along with strong teamwork and leadership abilities developed through athletics and collaborative design work.I am currently seeking internship opportunities where I can apply my technical and analytical skills, and I have a keen interest in data science as well as sports biomechanics and injury prevention.
