ABOUT SIMRAN KOUL
I’m a Product Designer with 5+ years of experience working on AI, enterprise, and SaaS products.I enjoy working on complex problems and turning them into experiences that feel clear and easy to use. A lot of my work focuses on AI-heavy systems, where trust, transparency, and good defaults really matter. I think a lot about how people understand what a system is doing, why it’s doing it, and how much control they have over the outcome.Right now, I work at Aleph Alpha, designing AI products for enterprise and government users. I’ve led end-to-end design for features like an Agent Builder that lets non-technical users create and manage AI assistants through guided, no-code workflows. The work spans everything from early discovery and problem framing to prototyping, usability testing, and shipped features in regulated, high-stakes environments. Before this, I worked on AI-powered tools for translation, transcription, and knowledge discovery, and earlier in my career, I designed SaaS products end to end, from research and flows to high-fidelity UI.How I tend to work- I start by understanding the problem deeply before jumping into solutions- I care a lot about clarity, structure, and systems, especially in complex products- I work closely with product managers and engineers and communicate design decisions clearly- I’m comfortable with ambiguity and like bringing shape to messy problem spacesWhat I’m aiming for is simple: to design products that feel thoughtful, reliable, and genuinely useful. The kind of tools people can trust and come back to every day.Alongside product design, I build and grow a digital community through storytelling-driven content. Creating content for an audience of 9K+ has deepened my understanding of narrative, attention, and engagement — insights that directly inform how I think about product clarity, retention, and emotional connection.[ Product Design, AI Products, Enterprise UX, SaaS, Agentic AI, No-Code Tools, UX Research, System Thinking, Interaction Design, Human-Centered AI, Design Systems, Prototyping, Usability Testing, Regulated Environments, B2B, Knowledge Worker Tools ]
