About Simran Kaur

I am pursuing a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a specialization in machine learning and pattern recognition. I am particularly interested in projects that involve the use of foundational ML concepts for computer vision (CV), object detection and tracking, motion planning applications.Core mathematics and AI-based courses accompanied by my research projects and internships have allowed me to develop a strong foundation of theoretical machine learning and data handling concepts and their practical implementation, including model training and optimization using ML frameworks (TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, etc.)My background includes serving as Research Fellow at Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber Physical Systems, IISc Bangalore to work on developing an algorithm for anomaly detection in video surveillance applications. An algorithm was developed (in Python (OpenCV)) that classified the real-time ongoing movements tracked by the camera (installed in the IISC campus) as ’normal’ or ’abnormal’. I am a hard-working person with a desire to explore and learn. My previous accomplishments indicate my desire to learn, dedication towards work, and passion to innovate.
