Installed, configured and upgraded from 11.2.0.4 to 12.2.0.1 on RHEL 7.1 • Upgraded from 11.2.0.4 to 18c using Full Transportable Export/Import• Applied security patches (Patch set, Critical Patch Updates (CPU)/ Patch Set Updates (PSU), One- off Patch) using runInstaller, OPatch utility and OEM 12c/13c. • Implemented database backup and recovery using RMAN (scheduled full, incremental, cumulative, hot, cold backups by writing UNIX shell scripts for RMAN)• Configured and administered 11g/12c Multi-Node Real Application Clusters (RAC) and ASM for High Availability, performance and scalability. • Configured and deployed Dataguard (Physical, Active, Logical and Snapshot standby) in different protection modes for oracle 12c and 11g production databases as part of disaster recovery strategy. • Performed standby database switch overs for maintenance work and configured fail overs in case of primary database failures using Dataguard Broker and OEM 12c/13c. • Performed logical backups and Data Migration using DATAPUMP• Implementation of database security using Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), data masking, password profiles and roles.• Supporting developers by performing whole database, schema and table level refresh of production databases to lower environments using RMAN and DATAPUMP.• SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning by maintaining Aggregates, Partitioning, Explain plan, Indexing and use of Hints, Stored outlines and Statistics.• 24/7 on call support for production and lower environments.• Extensively used AWR, ADDM, ASH, and Explain plan for periodic performance tuning of various critical terabyte size OLTP and OLAP databases.
