Acustica is a specialist independent acoustics and IT consultancy which focuses on all aspects of environmental noise management. Founded in 2005, we have extensive expertise in all aspects of noise impact assessments, noise control and room acoustics.Projects have included- Technical Lead for Defra Noise Modelling System- Team Leader / Expert 1 on IPA EuropeAid project in the Republic of Serbia for strategic noise mapping using CNOSSOS-EU in Niš agglomeration and developing guidance for the Ministry of Environmental Protection- Key Expert 2 on IPA EuropeAid project in Turkey for capacity building for the Environmental Noise Directive- working with DG JRC and key experts from around Europe with the purpose of developing a proposal for new Common Noise Assessment Methods in EU (CNOSSOS-EU)- delivery of strategic noise mapping under the END (Directive 2002/49/EC) in Wales, Northern Ireland, England, Bucharest, Ljubljana and Malta for Round 1 of the END- delivery of strategic noise mapping under the END (Directive 2002/49/EC) in Wales, England and Malta for Round 2 of the END- policy advice and authoring guidance documents for the EPA in Ireland, and ERA in Malta; and- research into uncertainty and error propagation in road and railway noise assessment methods to support European guidance (WG-AEN).
