ABOUT SIMON ROBERTSON

Looking back over 50 years in Business and the Church I have been either delivering projects with great people, developing strategy or training. I\'m now at a stage where I am looking to come alongside people in both arenas but need an income to do that - Business and Church - maybe as a consultant, trainer, mentor or coach to encourage and move them forward- just a friend to walk the journey with. Anyone who knows me will agree that people are my main focus and we all know our people are our greatest assets. Sadly there are so many contradictory voices out there that you can feel overwhelmed, struggling to find your way through the competing demands, know how to move forward, or just want to bounce your ideas off an old hand who has been there and weathered the storm, by God\'s Grace. I hope you will excuse me talking of my faith but quite simply without God I would have nothing to say! Conference Speaker: I am a conference speaker known for covering subjects in many leadership subjects, and of course Project Management subjects - both classic, agile and hybrid persuasions. Personal Career Goals: I want to be part of helping individuals and teams be the very best they were designed to be in whatever field they are in. Most would say that I\'m inquisitive, curious, analytical and a problem solver at heart but I love people and find diversity delightful. I love a challenge and working with strategic and creative thinkers. This has definitely driven my past career choices. Career background:(50+ yrs)- details elsewhere! My previous employers include the Chamber of Mines (SA), Rand Mines (SA), the Assembles of God (SA), CWR, UK, Ellel Ministries, then SEME (School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Bordon, MOD), ICL/Fujitsu Services, Microsoft UK (which included Managing a team of 31 consultants, being part of the Dynamics Partner support team), my own Ltd Consultancy Business (8 1/2 years), Hampshire County Council, two UK Universities (Southampton and Bristol), Jaguar Landrover and the NHS plus a number sorties into contract work taking me all over the world - you could say I\'ve been around! I have lectured and still do occasionally as Senior Visiting Fellow at the University of Reading and in China at Beijing and Nanjing Universities focusing on Project Management, Agile methods and Communications and Negotiation skills.
