Killerton estate is one of only 22 areas to win Defra funding to develop plans for nature recovery at scale. Centred around the three rivers of the Clyst, Culm, and Cranny Brook, the challenge is to create or restore a wide range of habitats including rivers, floodplain meadows, woodlands, wood pastures, fens and ponds. Sanctuary areas will be created, but otherwise access for everyone is the goal.
