ABOUT SIMON KARAN
Hello there! I’m Simon, a Software Engineer and Master’s student in Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).Having lived across two continents and four countries (), I’ve developed strong adaptability and the ability to grow quickly in new environments. During my studies, I specialized in computer networks and distributed systems due to the passion I have about understanding how the Internet works. For my Bachelor’s thesis, I analyzed the performance of the QUIC protocol (HTTP/3). Currently, I’m focusing on generative AI and working on my Master’s thesis, where I research proactive dialogue systems using LLMs and RAG in the context of political education. Alongside my studies, I gained hands-on industry experience through internships at Interhyp, IABG, CHECK24, and JetBrains. My technical experience includes building and maintaining microservices using Java and Spring Boot, developing AI agents with Python and LangChain, and working with IoT and embedded systems.
