ABOUT SIMON JOHNSON

Simon is an experienced and adaptable project manager, environmental planning consultant and Chartered Town Planner with experience gained working in a diverse range of sectors. He has extensive experience liaising and managing delivery for Clients, key stakeholders, specialist staff and consultants. Simon is also the lead consultant on ESG for forward funded investments projects.Simon’s key experience includes managing major and complex planning applications, managing multi-disciplinary projects, advising on site feasibility, leading on technical environmental planning matters, undertaking EIA and providing specialist environmental documents advising on regulatory matters and environmental constraints. Development types include: renewable energy, chemical production, food, waste circularity, city centre regeneration, residential and community projects.Simon has extensive Development Management experience with an intricate knowledge of the planning system, procedures, policies, legislation, legal framework and the wider planning process. Simon is commercially aware and understands the needs of developers and land owners which can and has led to additional suggestions to achieve value and betterment of projects at an early stage. Simon’s broad experience of environmental legislation and constraints stems from working as a regulator, an environmental planner and working in teams containing a wide range of specialist staff. This has led to a functional and commercial understanding of these topics. He understands environmentally associated development risk and knows when it is required to include technical specialists and incorporate them into a project team. Simon has reviewed written and led a large number of environmentally focused deliverables for Delta-Simons including EIA Screening, EIA scoping, Environmental Feasibility, Environmental Statements, constraint mapping and others.
