ABOUT SIMON HEPWORTH

Born in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire and trained at LAMDA,(inaugural winner of the St Philip’s Trophy, awarded by Richard Curtis). Whilst at LAMDA, I was invited by the Moscow Art Theatre and School, to perform in the International Student Drama Festival. My professional theatre work includes seasons at the National Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre, Bristol Old Vic, Royal & Derngate, London\'s West End, and the Edinburgh International Festival. Recent film work includes the compelling World War II epic ‘Walking With The Enemy’, cult comedy ‘Love\'s Kitchen’, ‘Sink’, ‘The Holly Kane Experiment’, ‘Tezz’ and Paul Schrader\'s ‘The Walker’. Numerous television appearances include ’The Diplomat’ season 2, ‘This England’, ‘Endeavour’, ‘Law & Order: UK’, ‘Trial & Retribution’, ‘Wallis & Edward’, the landmark final episode of ‘Inspector Morse - The Remorseful Day’, ‘Casualty’, ‘Emmerdale’, ‘Coronation St’, and ‘The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles’ (Lucasfilm). I\'m thrilled to have joined the expanding ‘Whoniverse’ with the audio drama ‘DOCTOR WHO: UNIT - REVISITATIONS’ for Big Finish Productions. For many years I was a huge contributor to ‘Thomas The Tank Engine’, as various character voices including Trevor the Traction Engine for Gullane, including the ‘Railway Adventures’ PC game and interactive toys. I continue to work as a sessional coach to the students of the National Film & Television School (NFTS - BAFTA Winner 2018), collaborating with emerging directors, screenwriters and documentary film makers.
