About Simone Moales

I found my voice in the fourth grade, organizing alongside the Bridgeport Board of Education to fight for equity in education for our neighborhood schools — and I haven’t stopped advocating since. Rooted in faith and shaped by service, I recently graduated magna cum laude from Spelman College, where I learned to lead with both conviction and compassion. As SGA President, I focused on listening deeply, building trust, and ensuring student voices helped shape real decisions. Whether serving in the Biden-Harris Administration, interning in both chambers of Congress, or studying law at the historic Sorbonne University in France, I’ve come to see policy not as paperwork, but as people’s lives. This summer, I return to the Hill as a CBCF intern in Congressman Bobby Scott’s (VA-03) office, committed to standing in the gap between the governed and those who govern. I believe the work of justice begins with proximity, empathy, and courage. My calling is clear: to reflect God’s heart for equity in every space I enter.

   Support legislative initiatives in the office of Congressman Bobby Scott (VA-03) through policy research, constituent services, and committee preparation.
