ABOUT SIMONE COSTA SÁ
Simone Costa Sá holds a Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering (ESB-UCP), both completed with distinction, earning multiple academic awards. Currently, she is a Biotechnology PhD Student and PhD Fellow funded by FCT. Her PhD project titled Dcell2Rcell focused on the development of a cutting-edge supercritical CO₂ technology to advance diabetes therapies. As Scientific Communication Manager in the UCP Biomaterials and Biomedical Technology Group, she oversees content dissemination, event organization, and team management. With prior experience in product and project management, Simone has developed strong skills in team leadership, communication, organization, stakeholder management, and process optimization, which she now applies to drive impactful contributions in biotechnology.
