ABOUT SIMONE SALVADORI

Simone Salvadori is Associate Professor at the Department of Energy (DENERG) of Politecnico di Torino. He obtained his PhD in “Energetica e Tecnologie Industriali Innovative” at the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIEF) of Università di Firenze, during which he performed a stage in the DAAP/H2T department of Office National d’Etudes et de Recherches Aérospatiales (ONERA) in Chatillon (FR). He has been involved in research projects funded by European Community, MIUR and the Region of Tuscany. He is used to work in cooperation with several institutions and industries (i.e, AVIO AERO, EthosEnergy Group, Nuovo Pignone Tecnologie, Pierburg Pump Technology Italy, von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics). His main research field is the numerical modeling of unsteady turbomachinery flows, with special interest in the analysis of combustor/turbine interaction using high-fidelity methods. He is author of more than 80 peer-reviewed papers and of a chapter in a monograph about \"Uncertainty Quantification in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Aircraft Engines\". He acts as Editorial Board member for MDPI Energies (ISSN 19••••73, IF 2.702) and he is member of the organizing committee of a Summer School on Advanced Research in Turbomachinery (ART). He is Teaching Assistant since 2007 in both the fluid-dynamic and the turbomachinery fields. He has also been considered as supervisor for more than 70 BSc, MSc and PhD theses.
