ABOUT SIMONE RUSSO
I am a Mechatronic Engineer with a strong interest for systems engineering applications to the aerospace field. I am a curious and detail-oriented person, always keen on embarking on new challenges.During my MSc years, I took part into the activities of CubeSat Team Polito, by working as AOCS Engineer in the framework of SROC (Space Rider Observer Cube) project.Right after my graduation I have been working as Satellite Operations Engineer for Telespazio, at Fucino Space Centre, on EUMETSAT\'s MTG I1 LEOP preparation, discovering the amazing field of spacecraft operations.Shortly after that, I became part of the ISS Columbus Flight Control Team, as STRATOS, at Col-CC in Oberpfaffenhofen (DLR), working on Columbus flight operations for ALTEC, leading a team of engineering specialists for the Columbus TCS, ECLSS and EPDS systems.I am currently covering the role of TCS and ECLSS Hardware Engineer in Torino, at Thales Alenia Space, in the framework of the Lunar Gateway project.
