ABOUT SIMONE POLEDRINI
I am an assistant professor of Management at the University of Genoa in Genoa (Italy). At the same time, I was previously appointed for fifteen years as assistant professor of Management of Innovation at the University of Perugia (Italy). In addition, from October 2014 to April 2015, I was visiting researcher at the \"Centre d\'Economie Sociale\" at the University of Liege in Belgium. I hold a Ph.D. in \"SMEs in international business\" obtained in 2008 from the University of Perugia,(Italy) and an MSc in \"Industry and innovation analysis\"(2006 from SPRU - University of Sussex, UK).I have been invited to give speeches and lectures by several European universities, such as the University of Liege, Belgium (2014), the University of Pescara, Italy (2014), University of East London, UK (2013). My main research topics are Social Enterprises and Social Entrepreneurship, focusing on accountability of social enterprises, motivations of social entrepreneurship, and reciprocity. In particular, I published an article on this last topic in the Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly journal, which has the highest impact factor among journals for the nonprofit sector.I have several publications on social enterprises and the nonprofit sector, including an authorized book (Poledrini 2011), an edited book (Poledrini 2010), several book chapters (i.e, Poledrini 2011; Poledrini 2011), and articles published in journals or presented in conferences. I was part of the SOCENT research program as a \"SOCENT researcher.\" SOCENT was the leading research project on social enterprises worldwide from 2013 to 2017. Previously, I coordinated two research projects on social enterprises, which are \"Expertise to grow\" and \"IN.NE.S.T.I.(Integration into society via Enterprise).\" Both were funded by the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. Furthermore, since 2019, I have been a member of the Board of Directors of EMES.
