Collect accurate and detailed data of various sites and environments using advanced laser scanning equipment. Main duties are- Laser Scanning: Operate and manage the Leica RTC360 and Leica P50 scanners to capture high-resolution 3D point cloud data of structures, landscapes, architectural and engineering features or industrial sites. This involves setting up the scanner, adjusting parameters, and ensuring complete coverage of the survey area- Mobile Mapping: Proficient in operating the NavVis VLX system and performing data post-processing for high-accuracy spatial deliverables- Installation of Control Points and Targets: Install and establish control points on-site to ensure spatial accuracy- Total Stations: Operate total stations to conduct precise measurements for topographical mapping, layout work, and verification of distances, angles, and elevations. These are also used to validate the accuracy of the point cloud data or for further geo-referencing of control points- GPS Integration: Process and incorporate GPS coordinates to ensure that your scans are geo-referenced correctly within global or local coordinate systems- Data Processing and Analysis: Post-process the collected point cloud data using specialised software. This involves cleaning up scans, stitching multiple datasets together, and ensuring accuracy in the data- Quality Control: Perform checks on data accuracy and completeness. This involves revisiting the control points, cross-referencing GPS data, and using the total station to verify the integrity of the scans- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure that the survey data meets the project’s requirements and specifications- Report and Deliverables: Generate reports and coordinates and produce deliverables, including 3D models, site maps, and other visual representations of the scanned data, ensuring the output is accurate and ready for use by stakeholders.
