ABOUT SIMONE DAMORE

PhD in Structural Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome. My expertise lies in the field of structural-seismic engineering, with a primary focus on the assessment and retrofit of existing Reinforced Concrete (RC) buildings. The main goal of my research is to develop damage-control and low-carbon solutions for the integrated seismic/energy renovation of the existing building stock, aiming to create a more resilient, energy-efficient, and sustainable society. Throughout my career, I\'ve acquired expertise in the seismic design of innovative precast and damage-control systems for both structural and non-structural components. I\'ve also conducted loss-assessment analyses, probabilistic risk assessments, energy simulations, and implemented advanced FEM simulations. Additionally, I\'m the author of several journal and conference papers. I served as the principal investigator of a research project (Progetti di Avvio alla Ricerca) and contribute in various national and international projects, including an EU Horizon project.
