Ensure that materials meet customer and quality system requirements while facilitating safe, efficient, and cost-effective production operations. • Lead all aspects of production, including daily production schedule, process safety management systems, safe operation of equipment, personnel safety, quality, scheduling, and customer service issues. • Work cross-functionally as part of a team with multiple members, including both the operator and QC functions, coordinating between multiple shifts and shift managers. • Work closely with sales and marketing departments to ensure new products and promotions are completed on time and to specification. • Improve plant key performance indicators (KPI) and manufacturing / operational metrics; build a conducive work environment for team(s) to complete assigned responsibilities and help achieve business objectives. • Coordinate training program to improve skills for the total team, and help to maintain the safety program to minimize accidents and injuries and to ensure a safe working environment. • Resolve workflow problems by analyzing impediments and organizing work to improve use of personnel and material resources. • Maintain labor costs per budget, interpret specifications and job orders from batch tickets, and assign duties to staff. • Support problem resolution with cross-functional teams including the Quality Department, Engineers, and others.
