As line manager in Comforts Electronics I am responsible for the validation team which conducts of up to 18 internal and external employees. In order to meet the expected grow targets, I developed and implemented a strategy for an offshore team in India while also growing the team in Germany. I am responsible for the budget efficient estimation of the validation efforts for upcoming projects as well as the coordination of the work distribution of the validation team in Germany and Bulgaria. To shorten the requirements analysis I established a structured rule set for an unambiguous mapping of requirements to the validation phases of the V-Model. By introducing of mandatory use case tests, endurance tests, continuous integration, as well as an optimised monitoring of the test case implementation I improved the validation process further. In close cooperation with the SW team, my team currently develops an electronic load for an enhanced test coverage. We are currently moving to a new tool chain for automation which was evaluated and piloted in my team during my time at KOSTAL. In collaboration with my senior fellows we drive the development of AI tools for the validation process. To improve the efficiency we are currently harmonising validation procedures and tools.
