I am a member of BioSS Executive leading on governance and supporting science strategy to achieve sustainable growth.I am the key point of contact between the BioSS Executive and Leadership Team, and represents BioSS in operational and management committees at our parent organisation, the James Hutton Institute, working closely with Hutton senior management.I manage and lead day-to-day operations by overseeing BioSS functional area teams, with responsibility for devising and implementing the long-term strategic operational vision of BioSS. I also engage and work with senior colleagues in third party organisations, such as RESAS (the Rural and Environment Science and Analytical Services division of the Scottish Government) and the SEFARI (Scottish Environment, Food and Agriculture Research Institutions), and units within the University of Edinburgh.
