ABOUT SIMONA PALMIERI
I am a RIBA charted architect and urban designer at AECOM’s Masterplanning. I have extensive experience in preparing masterplans for both public and private sector clients in a range of contexts across the UK and continental Europe, with a particular track record in creating new communities at scale, commercial mixed-use, industrial masterplanning, and town centre transformation. I am also a part-time Lecturer in Urban Design at the LSBU and a design critic at the University of Westminster. Since 2016 I have undertaken my own doctoral research at the University of Westminster, School of Architecture+ Cities which focuses on how the ‘space of transition’, in particular refugees\' accommodation can influence urban inclusion in the existing European settlement of Berlin.
