ABOUT SIMONA CAMPA-COCHRANE

I’m Dr. Simona Campa, DNP, ACNP-BC, founder of Insight Heart Health, a modern preventive cardiology clinic in Dallas dedicated to redefining how we approach heart health. At Insight Heart Health, we focus on early detection, advanced risk labs, imaging, lifestyle counseling, and guided weight management—because prevention is the new standard in cardiology.My journey began in academic medicine, earning my Doctor of Nursing Practice from UCLA in 2023 with a focus on cardiovascular prevention and cardiometabolic syndrome. Over the past decade, I’ve specialized in preventive and general cardiology, women’s cardiac health (including pregnancy-related risks), and cardiometabolic care at institutions such as UT Southwestern Medical Center and the Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center at Cedars-Sinai.Beyond clinical practice, I am an active leader, mentor, and educator in cardiology. I currently serve on the Academic Section Leadership Council for the American College of Cardiology (2025–2028), and I was honored with the ACC Cardiovascular Team Member of the Year award for my contributions to the profession. From 2020 to 2023, I also served as the Southern California Cardiovascular Team Liaison for the ACC, strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration and education.Through Insight Heart Health, my mission is to bring world-class preventive cardiology directly to the Dallas community. I believe that 90% of heart disease is preventable when we act early, empower patients with knowledge, and make prevention accessible.
