ABOUT SIMON WILKINSON

Directly after finishing school, I joined the British Army and began my career as an electrical apprentice with the Royal Engineers. This initial experience paved the way for me to work on large-scale electrical construction projects, where I honed my skills across a wide range of electrical disciplines. I then pursued an HNC in Electrical Engineering, which led me into the offshore wind industry. Here, I specialized in high voltage systems and became an experienced Senior Authorized Person. My demonstrated expertise lies in electrical safety, electrical commissioning, high voltage systems, high voltage switchgear, and power transformers. I\'ve spent considerable time focusing on the first-time energization of offshore substations, export/inter-array cables and wind turbine generators (WTGs).In addition, I possess a robust technical acumen complemented by my role as a mentor guiding trainees through their high voltage authorization process. My experience in emergency first aid and rescue exercises has honed my ability to perform optimally under high-stress situations. Having spent a decade offshore, I have cultivated essential skills such as time management, motivation, organization, and effective communication. Confidence, relentless hard work, and discipline are the cornerstones of my professional ethos.Parallel to my career in offshore wind, I\'ve been building a property business. My goal is to assist people in selling their properties quickly and to help investors achieve excellent returns on their investments. I am dedicated to solving property-related problems, and I firmly believe in an ethical win-win approach for both buyers and sellers. I have invested hundreds of hours in training in this field and am part of a community of like-minded investors. I continuously stay informed about market conditions and expand my network by regularly attending networking events.Personal growth is an integral part of my life. I maintain a positive attitude and find great value in self-discovery. I have a real passion for mindset and healthy living. However, I am also aware of my areas of improvement and continuously strive to develop both personally and professionally into the person I aspire to be.
