ABOUT SIMON TITE
Entering an exciting new chapter of my career as of August 2021 and grateful to be offered the opportunity to work on one of the World\'s largest infrastructure projects and with a hugely innovative, transformative, purpose and values led organisation at HS2 as Head of Construction Finance. This follows a return to the Midlands in July 2019 and a career at EY spanning almost 17 years. During this time I have developed professionally and personally to become the values led, people focussed and transformative leader that I am today with the continued personal drive to further enhance not only my own career but importantly those around me to build hugely successful, high performing teams. Leadership and developing teams are genuinely what I believe to be one of my key strengths. You are only as good as the people around you and I take personal pride in ensuring on a daily basis I continually lead and develop a hugely talented pool of individuals. Gaining promotion to Director in 2015 at EY, a huge personal achievement and career milestone, I spent 5 years working within our Government and Public Sector. This has followed a career journey that started with a Summer Internship in 2004 and over the course of 17 years with EY I have had what I would describe as a truly cross service line, cross market experience. Qualifying as a Chartered Accountant within our Transaction Advisory Services practice, I seized opportunities to gain invaluable industry experience completing two external secondments at HSBC and Jaguar Land Rover. Identified as a future leader of our business I completed the Accelerated Leadership Programme in 2012 and in the summer of 2017, an 18-month Future Partner Development Programme held at Oxford Said Business School. In March 2015 I won the UK & I Inspirational Role Model Award as part of International Women’s Day reflecting my ability to lead one of the most diverse and highest performing teams within Advisory. It is of upmost importance to me to instil a working environment where people feel respected and comfortable to be themselves, bringing energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude that drives the team. Raising awareness of Mental Health, removing the stigma and leading by example in supporting those around me is of huge importance, recognising the non-discriminative and debilitating impact it may have. In a fast paced digital world, it\'s important to remember we are still only human!
