The Quality Engineer is responsible for all activities related to quality systems, promoting quality achievement and performance improvement by implementing and maintaining ISO9001 quality standards throughout all levels of the organization. Duties and Responsibilities• Develop, implement, and coordinate quality continuous improvement activities.• Manage and maintain the quality inspection program and product release program for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.• Establish and clearly define quality methods for staff to apply in relationship to quality procedures. Ensure tests and procedures are understood, carried out, evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary. • With the support of Technicians, ensure products and/or processes comply with the relevant requirements.• Daily involvement with the production team to monitor daily production.• Work with internal auditors and other departments resources to coordinate preventative/corrective measures against errors and nonconformities.• Prepare all necessary quality reporting.• Ensure timely resolution of supplier failures with preventative/corrective actions.• Liaison with customers to ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.• Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluating.• Develop and implement sampling procedures in each area of manufacturing.• Develop PFMEA, control plans, inspection plans for all internal processes.• Direct/lead process capability/gauge studies.• Participate in Technibilt Lean Workshops• Responsible for the QMS; document control.• Support development of new supplies to Wanzl NA quality standards and audit their performance with the assistance of the purchasing department.• Support QMS development in the other Wanzl NA business units.• Assist with the approval process of new/changed products and processed.
