ABOUT SIMON PRING

As Head of Private Wealth at Farrer & Co, I work with clients whose estates, assets and families span generations and often several jurisdictions. Our private wealth practice brings together leading specialists across tax, trusts, family governance, real estate, succession and disputes, allowing us to support both UK-based and international families through key moments of change and long-term planning.My role is to ensure that this support feels joined-up, strategic and practical. With over 30 years’ experience advising private estates, charities and institutions, I help clients navigate property-related decisions (whether investment, development or day-to-day management) so that what they own is preserved, productive and well-positioned for the future.Much of my work relates to land ownership and the realities of running modern estates. I collaborate with in-house lawyers, estate surveyors and advisers on projects that involve diversification, legacy planning and residential development to meet wider community needs. Clients include private estates as well as organisations such as The Duchy of Lancaster and the Church Commissioners for England.Over time, I have developed close, long-standing relationships with clients and advisers alike. These connections mean we are able to solve problems efficiently, coordinate specialists across the firm and move large projects forward with clarity.I am recognised in the leading directories, Spear’s 500 and the eprivateclient 50 Most Influential, which is something of which I am proud. But what matters more to me is being someone clients trust at important decision points, helping them weigh up options, think ahead and move forward confidently, knowing that their assets and ambitions are in safe hands for the long term.
