Avison Young UK is a Canadian owned Commercial Real Estate advisory company, with worldwide revenues of £800m. Originally recruited as UK Financial Controller. UK Finance Lead and part of the UK senior leadership team and statutory director, responsible for financial leadership, transformation change, strategic direction and growth.(£225m t/o)• Led the completion of the Statutory and Group Audits for all entities and liaison with external auditors.• Responsibility of cashflow including daily reviews and meetings to manage cash, as well as weekly reviews with Group Treasury. The role includes being the lead for the Banking relationship.• Introduced monthly reporting across business departments, which included KPI reporting, as well as P&L reporting, creation of dashboards across receivables and payables, driving insight and ownership.• Project Management approach and lead for monthly forecasting and budgets, including establishing priorities, opportunities and strategic direction; including liaison and reporting with managing directors and executive.• Implemented NetSuite ERP, building functionality and improving system capability.• Leadership and management of the Finance Team, providing clear objectives and defined roles. The team is made up of c25+ FTEs, across Management Accounts (7 FTEs), Receivables team (5), Purchase Ledger (6), Payroll (3) and Finance Planning & Analysis (4).
