About Simon Nee
My Why:I coach to help young people discover who they are—and who they can become. I believe in building high-performance environments rooted in humility, hard work, and care—where development is measured not just by minutes played, but by character forged.I’m a UEFA A and U.S. Soccer A Licensed coach with 18+ years of experience at the New York Red Bulls Academy, developing players and coaches from the grassroots to the professional game. I’ve helped guide over 20 academy players to sign first-team contracts, including U.S. National Team captain Tyler Adams, and contributed to Red Bulls leading MLS in Homegrown minutes played. My passion lies in building high-performance environments rooted in character, competition, and curiosity. I’ve led strategic planning across U14–U23 age groups, implemented game model-aligned periodization frameworks, and mentored over 100 coaches across the club. I also serve as a U.S. Soccer Coach Educator, guiding candidates through the B License. As part of the Red Bull Global Football network, I’ve shared best practices with sister clubs in Salzburg, Leipzig, and Brazil. I’m committed to leading youth programs that don’t just develop elite players—but exceptional people.Let’s connect if you share a belief in holistic development, transformational leadership, and elevating what youth development can look like in American soccer.
