Simon is a partner specialising in property litigation. He advises on all property issues of a contentious nature throughout the UK. This encompasses a range of disputes concerning residential, commercial and agricultural land. Simon has particular experience in commercial landlord and tenant matters such as lease renewals, service charge disputes, dilapidations claims. He also advises on development and joint venture disputes, and the impact of insolvency in a property context. Simon frequently advises on overage provisions, rights of light, rights of way and adverse possession and has pursued a number of claims arising out of professional negligence concerning property transactions.Simon acts for national food retailers and brewery chains, university and college clients, property investments funds, private investor clients, public authorities and a housing associations. Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 has recognised Simon as a leader in his field and comments that he is “best known for commercial landlord/tenant work for retailer, leisure clients and landed estates\" and that he \"advised landowners with property blighted by a large infrastructure project\". Simon regularly speaks in relation to property issues. He is a member of the Property Litigation Association.
