We are based in Belper, Derbyshire, and offer one-to-one, face-to-face counselling, with additional options of online and telephone therapy sessions.We offer a person-centred approach to therapy where the therapist holds you, the client, at the centre of our work together, prizing your autonomy as a unique individual and ability for growth within a confidential environment.When attending counselling sessions, you will be encouraged to bring your own present-moment issues to each session; the counselling direction is led by you and not directed by the counsellor, prizing your autonomy as an individual. Our work together can be short or long-term, depending on your needs, you can decide what works best for you.Person-centred therapy is a humanistic approach based on the understanding that, given the right conditions, a person can reach their full potential and become their true self, which is termed ‘self-actualisation’. This actualisation process is innate and accessible to everyone.
