About Simon Lacey
Experienced T cell immunologist and virologist with both biopharma and academic experience. Currently engaged in monitoring immune responses to rAAV and transgene products in gene therapy clinical trials. Previous experience includes over a decade directing correlative studies at the University of Pennsylvania\'s Center for Cellular Immunotherapy in support of clinical trials of cellular immuno-therapeutics, including both CAR-T therapy for cancer, autoimmune disease and infectious disease. Earlier stages of career included 20 years of academic research at Duke University and the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope as a postdoctoral researcher, and then as a NIH funded principal investigator in the fields of T cell immunity to HIV and vaccines for infectious disease.
