Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust @ Hammersmith Hospital, part of a Public Sector Decarbonization Scheme, set out by the UK government the grant was awarded after a competitive bidding process for a share of £1billion, earmarked for public sector bodies by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, supporting the government’s net zero and clean growth goals.First project was to de-steam the hospital and complete the MTHW ring main serving various plantrooms, replacement of calorifiers with new packaged PHE skids and replacement of buffer vessels. Removal of steam boiler and replaced with MTHW boiler.Installation of 3 new Air Source Heat Pumps and 8 Water to Water Heat Pumps with 3 packaged plantrooms, including all civils and steelwork platform requirements.Current phase consists of 4 boreholes for Ground Source Heat Pumps, including various packaged plantrooms, Water Source Heat Pumps, existing plantroom modification, AHU Upgrades, Cavity Wall Insulation, Roof Insulation, Solar PV, civils works, steelworks, 3 HV substations, all associated trenching and groundworks.
