As founder and managing director of HeliMedia, I have spent more than 30 years working with airborne surveillance technology used by police aviation units and other public safety organisations.HeliMedia has supported the introduction and deployment of stabilised electro-optical camera systems that provide the critical “bird’s-eye view” used during search operations, pursuits, major incidents and other complex situations. These systems significantly enhance situational awareness and support operational teams in making informed decisions in real time.My role focuses on working with aviation operators, public safety organisations and industry partners to support the effective use of airborne sensing capability and to help organisations understand how these systems can improve operational awareness and decision-making.

I work at the intersection of policing, public safety and technology.For more than 30 years I have worked with operational technology used by police and public safety organisations. I am Founder and Managing Director of HeliMedia Ltd, where I have been involved in airborne surveillance systems used by police aviation units. Stabilised camera systems such as those developed by L3Harris Wescam provide the critical “bird’s-eye view” that supports situational awareness during complex operations.Alongside this, I am Co-founder and CEO of Coeus Software, where we are developing PoliceBox®, a no-code, AI-enabled platform designed specifically for frontline policing. PoliceBox gives officers secure mobile access to operational tools, guidance and intelligence while integrating with existing police systems.The goal is to reduce administrative burden, improve decision-making and keep officers in communities rather than behind desks.We are also applying the same approach to other regulated sectors through Quvo, a platform designed to support investigators, inspectors and operational teams who need reliable information, clear processes and auditable decision-making.Across aviation systems, digital platforms and regulated environments, my work has consistently focused on the same challenge: giving people on the frontline the information they need to make confident decisions.I also contribute to the wider policing technology ecosystem as Chair of the techUK Interoperability in Justice and Public Safety Forum and as a member of the techUK Justice and Emergency Services Management Committee. My work there focuses on open standards, secure integration and collaboration between policing, industry and government.I believe the future of policing and public safety lies in interoperable systems, trusted AI and tools designed around the user experience.Innovation in operational environments is not just about new technology. It is about building connected systems that support better decisions, stronger organisations and better outcomes for the communities they serve.
