ABOUT SIMON FLENLEY
Working as a leader in a Central Services/Partnership Management function I currently operate in the area of Education, Talent and Careers advice for Apprenticeships delivered to Level 6 & 7. Managing a team of Consultants, I oversee the robust administration relating to large volume apprenticeship programmes to ensure we are compliant with guidelines from stakeholders including Ofsted and the ESFA. Managing a team of Talent Partners, I lead on the provision of quality IAG to apprenticeship students and large national and SME employers. Our role is to support CPD/Employability skills of students, enhancing positive career destinations and supporting employers to use apprenticeships for business growth and future talent mapping. Interventions are delivered in agile, flexible ways through VLE, f2f, 1:1 and groups by way of lecture and workshop which I have designed within context of wider curriculum. Working across academic departments and with employers, I influence continuous improvement of our offer, providing up to date information on employability activities through a network of FTSE100 graduate employers.
