Experienced IT and business professional with international experience leading IT, Architecture and Strategy functions in multiple sectors including Financial Services, Government, Airline and Oil and Gas. Currently leading the development of the Architecture Services Model, a set of 37 interconnected architecture services supported by over 45 tools and templates.Prior to spending five years with Gartner in Dubai, I was chief IT architect at Emirates Group, and before that, I was Chief Technology Officer at the Office for National Statistics, and one of the founding members of the UK Government\'s CTO Council, where I led cross-government work on open source software and open standards.From 1996, I spent six years as a Research Staff Member at IBM\'s Zurich Research Laboratory, where I led the research team exploring new e-business technologies.My long-standing interest in music remains - I work closely with my wife, the composer and pianist Nadia Field-Lefert, and have taken a particular interest in the clavichord.
