Working with a dedicated team at Cloud Imperium Games where we are developing a new kind of independent studio devoted to delivering experiences outside the established publisher system, Founded by Chris Roberts, creator of the best-selling Wing Commander and Freelancer series, Cloud Imperium, through record-shattering crowd-funded support, is currently developing Star Citizen and Squadron 42, within a universe that combines classic space sim gameplay with Hollywood-caliber visuals.I continue to advise other businesses on their financial strategies and maintain my professional qualification and network.After taking my professional exams at PwC, serving in various departments from tax to Corporate recovery, I moved into \'Industry\' in 1996 to Ciba Specialty Chemicals, in the middle of its demerger from Novartis and its accounts centralisation program. This prepared me for my move to Financial Director, which amongst other things is the role I have largely undertaken since leaving Ciba in 1998. My first appointment at Warthog (Computer) Games was rewarding, as we floated that business on AIM in 2001 and I was retained with the business until 2006, after its sale to a hardware manufacturer in 2004.Since then I have run my own financial services company advising various businesses, interspersed with more permanent appointments at clients I have advised - with the major appointments / engagements being noted in my history.Since 2015, as the requirements of the Company and Group have grown considerably, underpinned by its record-breaking crowd-funded backing, my attention is focused upon Cloud Imperium Games with my initial consultancy evolving into a full-time role within that business.
