ABOUT SIMON EATON
My career within the live events industry has seen me gain invaluable experience across a wide range of sectors within senior management positions. Working for multiple national event promoters, group venue and festival operators (Academy Music Group/Live Nation/MAMA & Company/Mean Fiddler), large capacity independent London venues (Troxy), both major (EMI Music) and independent (Transgressive) record labels and within artist management (FORT Management) I have obtained significant key contacts, knowledge and understanding of how the live industry as a whole operates. During these roles I have matured my skills in a host of aspects including; strategic commercial planning, capex, future forecasting, staff management and development, large scale event planning and management, tender processes, operations, licensing, health and safety, business development, national promotion, marketing, ticketing, PR, merchandising, A+R, tour management, in depth budgeting, booking, distribution, social networking and sales. I am currently Head of a busy Live Department, directly managing and developing multiple staff. I have been part of, and led, successful national and international campaigns, dealt directly with multimillion selling artists, their managers, agents & background teams and planned events for thousands of people. My wealth of experience has led to me being invited as a delegate speaker to multiple international music conferences such as; M4 Music (Switzerland), The European Music Exchange (Poland), Sonic Visions (Luxembourg), Visions Festival (Austria & Slovakia) and Wide Days (Scotland) amongst others.
