ABOUT SIMON DEAN

Being chosen out of 354 applicants to receive one of 6 apprenticeships offered at Aston Martin, I have seen and worked in practically all aspects of their niche manufacturing facility, moving from the shop floor onto Brand Communications then into the Dealer network. I have gained extensive knowledge of the automotive engineering environment, man management, and substantial client facing experience, developing my skills at building long term relationships. I pride myself on fully understanding the customer needs and providing an accurate bespoke value added solution, often within a limited timeframe. With this approach, I have gained a reputation for honesty and loyalty which has led to repeat business, often being called “a farmer not a hunter” in the technical sales environment. During my career, I have taken time out to see a very different way of life which has opened my eyes and made me appreciate and value things that are easily taken for granted. Whilst in Africa, I have supported a local orphanage allowing them to double their intake capacity and create a revenue stream which allows them to cover 70% costs, which has been hugely rewarding.
