I’ve spent my career building the digital foundations that connect people, places, and purpose. From pioneering the UK’s first community-owned full-fibre broadband network to developing geospatial and digital-twin technologies for modern infrastructure, my focus has always been on one thing — empowering communities and organisations through intelligent, locally managed systems.Back in 2009, I founded NextGenUs (UK) Ltd, creating the Digital Village Pump — a model that redefined rural connectivity by letting villages own and operate their own fibre networks. That idea became the seed of the UK’s AltNet movement, influencing early BDUK policy and inspiring community-led broadband providers like B4RN and Gigaclear. It proved that innovation doesn’t just come from large corporations — it can come from the edges, from those closest to the challenge.After supporting the expansion of fibre and wireless networks with Connexin, I founded CreoPlan Ltd — where the same philosophy now drives a new kind of infrastructure intelligence. CreoPlan transforms the way organisations plan, manage, and maintain their estates through geospatial data, photogrammetry, and digital-twin modelling.Our work spans sectors from healthcare and defence to infrastructure and petrochemicals. We’ve developed technologies such as CreoViewer (a digital estate viewer for complex sites), Argus (a sensory assessment and tactical analysis platform), and ViewMore360 (immersive asset imagery integrated with enterprise systems). Each solution reflects my belief that the future of infrastructure depends on uniting spatial intelligence, automation, and human understanding.Whether designing a broadband network for a rural village or building a photogrammetric model for a defence site, my motivation remains the same: to turn data into something that genuinely improves how people live and work.Innovation isn’t about disruption for its own sake — it’s about creating systems that endure, empower, and evolve.
