Based in the UK, Simon has over 30 years\' experience in the networking industry. A Cisco veteran of 24 years, he has spent over 20 in the field of information security, designing and leading the deployment of complex security solutions for global organisations.Simon is passionate about the value that security can provide to an organisation. He regularly provides consultancy at all levels to organisations, from engineers and architects to senior executive level, to help translate their business requirements into effective security solutions. He has been a key contributor in the creation of the Cisco Security Control Framework (SCF), the development of Cisco’s security architecture assessments, the evolution of Cisco’s Security Operations Centre (SOC) consulting services, and has spoken at a number of security conferences such as Cisco Live, Infosec and SecCon.More recently, Simon\'s area of focus has been the design, development and improvement of SOCs for Cisco’s customers, across a wide range of industry sectors and geographies.
