Steelhead Americas is the project development arm of Vestas North America. We develop wind projects across the US. I support our financial analysis, project origination, and numerous niche research areas.Responsibilities include:Originated over 24 Greenfield projects in the MISO, ERCOT, WECC, SERC, & SPP markets. Led diligence efforts to reduce development risk by uncovering project challenges and opportunities.Developed and presented potential projects to organizational leadership, clarified project theses, answered questions, and related information in order to facilitate senior leadership determining which projects should be given further resources and personnel to continue.Perform financial modeling on new and wind energy development projects. Model numerous scenarios to understand profitability and risk drivers. Present findings to senior leadership monthly.Analyzed Independent Resource Plans from utilities across the nation to understand where demand for wind energy is growing and support the locating of new projects.Become a subject matter expert on a range of niche topics to support organizational development. Topics include wildlife concerns, wind/radar conflict, energy capacity, & federal legislation. Consolidate and report findings on assigned projects to organizational leadership.
