ABOUT SIMON ADCOCK

I\'m an experienced commercial banker and now serve as HSBC\'s Regional Director, South West & Wales, SME Business Banking. In this role I lead a diverse team of relationship management colleagues supporting c. 6k SME customers. I\'m incredibly passionate about helping owner managed and entrepreneurial businesses to grow and achieve their ambitions. We do so through meeting their financial needs, facilitating cross-border trade and payments, and by connecting them to opportunities through our global network. Across the region we support both traditional industries and those in newer, fast growth, technology and life sciences sectors.My prior roles have included Country Head in Oman where I was responsible for our commercial banking business prior to its divestment to Bank Sohar International; setting up and leading our UK Sector Coverage of the Professional Services industry; leading our International Subsidiary Banking business in Hong Kong; as a senior relationship banker in London covering FTSE250 and private equity backed clients, and earlier roles in Jersey and UK across our commercial banking and retail businesses. Outside of HSBC I am a Trustee of a cancer therapy charity in Hereford and a Business Mentor with The King’s Trust.In my personal life, I’m a husband and a father to two sons, and enjoy spending time cross-country running, walking and watching rugby!
