ABOUT SIMON A. CROWE

Simon began his architectural career in 1989 after graduating from the Leeds School of Architecture with a ‘Distinction’. In 1992, he moved to Browne Smith Baker, where he quickly gained experience and became a Partner in 1998 at the age of 33. Upon joining Niven Architects in 2002, Simon embraced the challenge to lead and develop the Practice from a small family firm to one of the leading architectural practices in the North East of England. As a Director he maintained his connection to design through his position as Principal Architectural Director leading the in-house project teams. In March 2019 Niven concluded an exciting merger with AJ 100 Architects, Corstorphine+Wright, to become Corstorphine+Wright (North East) Ltd.With over 25 years in the profession, Simon has gained a wealth of experience on numerous projects across all sectors, and continues to take an active role in project briefings, design discussions, passing on his design and project management expertise from inception to completion.A keen advocate of Collaborative Working and the adoption of cutting edge digital technologies, Simon has also overseen the establishment of BIM Strategy Ltd. to promote the adoption of Building Information Modelling protocols within the architectural and wider construction industry.Membership of Professional Institutions: Royal Institute of British Architects, Architects Registration Board, Association of Project ManagersSpecialties: Design, Architecture, Project Management, Contract Administration, Concept discussion, Development discussion.Biography - Website
