About Todd Simmons

Currently a member of the Integrated Systems Business Unit at VMware. Previously a Consultant at Training Revolution, Firefly, VCE, VMware, Cisco, and EMC. Began technology career in 1997 as a Microsoft Exchange administrator for Renaissance Worldwide Inc. maintaining an Exchange multi-site Org with 87 offices worldwide. In 1998 began teaching night classes as a Microsoft Certified Trainer for Boston University. In 2003, hired by Collective Technologies (Austin, TX) as a Sr. Consultant. Performed large seat Exchange migrations for DELL Professional Services using EMC storage solutions. Customers included: Texas Gas, AMF, State of Georgia Department of Transportation, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Authored several Professional Services offerings including Health Checks for Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, and EMC storage. These service offerings were delivered at United States Army Biological and Chemical Command Center, Tolleson School District, and Verifone, through DELL Professional Services. In 2005 promoted to Practice Technical Manager for the Exchange Professional Services Team. Responsibilities included: deployment forecasting, project scoping, and partner relationship management. Since 2007 worked on contract assignments for EMC Engineering and authored several Instructor-Led courses. In 2011 contracted by VCE to author and deliver the Architecting a VCE Vblock training material for VCE Partners and Employees. In 2013 contracted by MeasureUP, Pearson, and VMware to develop practice test questions for VMware Certification Exams and was a technical editor of VMware Press VCP-Cloud Official Cert Guide. Since 2014 - VMware Employee Industry certifications include: VMware Certified Professional VCP2/3/4/5, VCAP-DCA 4/5, VCAP-DCD 4/5, VCDX5-DCV Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE Messaging), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Systems Instructor (CCSI), EMC Proven Professional Expert.
