ABOUT SIMI SETHI

I joined HM Prison Service in 2006 via the Graduate fast-track programme. I care passionately about changing people\'s lives and the rehabilitation agenda. I am driven to ensuring Offender Management is at the centre of all that we do and that my staff remain focused on acting as role models and offering hope and support to Offenders. I have led teams in many key functions (across London), such as:•Head of Business Assurance • Head of Residence • Offender Management • Resource Management • Security and Operations • Equalities• Ministry of Justice Press OfficeI have consistently delivered high level of performance and targets to reduce risk of reoffending, public safety, security and Equalities, as follows:• Her Majesty\'s Inspectorate of Prisons• Independent Monitoring Board (IMB)• Standards and Security Audit • Equalities Audit• Interception of Communications Commissioner\'s Office (IOCCO)I have also carried out two successful re-profiles of staff, which led to substantial cost savings (as part of Government efficiency savings) at local establishments.During early 2016, I completed a successful secondment to the London CRC (MTC Novo) as an Prison advisor/consultant. I supported the LCRC Senior managers embed their services and provision at London prison sites.I strive under pressure and remain resilient during challenging and changing times. I am able to demonstrate my key leadership skills, by building effective relationships with staff, colleagues and stakeholders. I achieve high standards of output, for the functions that I lead. I am a passionate learner and have a strong desire for broadening my perspective, approach and methods around authentic leadership. Central to achieving these goals are to remain humble, treat people with decency, integrity and offer hope.
