ABOUT SIMA KAMMOURIEH PETROV
I am an economist with over 16 years of experience in roles spanning high civil service and politics in France, the banking industry in the United States, and European think tanks. I have worked on a wide range of issues and projects in the field of economic and financial policy - from the post-Lehman macroeconomic crisis in Eastern Europe, to the last HIPC sovereign debt restructuring operations in francophone Africa, French economic diplomacy dossiers such as multilateral trade agreements, or the re-design of global financial regulation and its implementation in the US in the years following the Global Financial Crisis. The twin climate & development challenges, and articulating the necessary changes and improvements to our economies and financial systems, are my priority and focus today. At work, my strength lies in bringing to the table a combination of technical expertise, strategic big picture thinking, agility, and interpersonal skills. I am French and Lebanese, and live in Berlin. I speak French, English and Arabic (native), German (proficient), and I can understand some Spanish and Italian.
