November 2023 marks the inception of my own company, operating as a game development studio in Glasgow. Currently, it operates as a solo development studio, focusing on the creation of its first commercial release titled \'Rise of the Village Hero.\' As the founder, I am committed to ensuring the success of my studio, especially recognizing the inherent challenges of the first year in business. My passion for game development is at the core of my business, enabling me to invest my whole heart and soul into it.My responsibilities as a founder encompass a diverse range of tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the business. These include administrative work, securing freelance opportunities, updating websites and portfolios, and executing marketing campaigns to expand the audience for both the development studio and its games. These are just a few examples of the varied tasks I undertake.In the role of a solo game development studio, my focus is on the tasks associated with the ongoing game development projects, currently centered around \'Rise of the Village Hero.\' These tasks involve level design, testing, programming mechanics and events, and creating cinematic sequences within Unity, among many others.Additionally, as a freelancer, my role is to showcase my skills and offer solutions to businesses facing challenges in game development. These challenges may pertain to various aspects, including but not limited to UI/UX, programming, level design, and game mechanics.The day-to-day operations are incredibly busy, but I appreciate the dynamic nature of my work as it keeps things interesting.
