ABOUT SILVIA B.

I am an expert in brand protection (including trade marks and designs) and the protection and commercialisation of other intellectual property rights including copyright, confidential information / trade secrets. I work with clients to bring in innovative products to market including new technologies such as AI systems, NFTs and software applications.My clients include games producers (online and table top), artists, architects, TV and film production companies, fashion designers and retailers, and any other businesses or entrepreneurs who are looking to protect their creative output, collaborate with others to enhance their brand value or enforce and defend their rights against competitors.Prior to qualifying as a UK solicitor in 2018, I developed and produced educational resources and created workshops on intellectual property for creative students and businesses, amongst others for the World Intellectual Property Organisation, the University of the Arts London and the European Patent Office.As General Manager of the Association of Illustrators (the AOI) I initiated the campaign for fairer contracts for visual creators and represented the AOI at the British Copyright Council, the Creators Rights Alliance and the European Illustrators Forum.I have gained practical experience working in the arts as an assistant curator and arts educator at major public art galleries and as a lecturer at art and design practice-based universities.I am an allied member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys.
