ABOUT SILVANA JIMÉNEZ
Biochemist, PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology. With more than 11 years in the R&D and innovation ecosystem, she has worked in labs in both, academical and clinical sector, has given support to scientific and business development teams, has been part of biotech startups and research centres, and basically has participated in the formulation and implementation of innovation projects focused on sustainable health development.Silvana is highly interested in Knowledge Exchange and product development, as well as in the variest mechanisms through which technologies developed with R&D activities conducted in the academia/startups can be transferred to the industry.On the other hand, Silvana has done internships in very well-known and highly qualified research centres such as the NIBSC in London, United Kingdom, and has had the chance to visit and learn from the work in the Tissue Banks of the DGFG (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gewebetransplantation) in their facilities in Hannover and in the Heidelberg Hospital in Germany, as well as in the Biobank at the Charité Hospital in Berlin.
