ABOUT SILKE REGINE STAHL-ROLF

Privates Profil. Bei geschäftlichen Inhalten with my interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, economists and sociologists I am actively supporting ministries and public actors in the development, implementation and evaluation of innovation policies and programmes. I am working both at national and international levels - with a specific focus on the interplay of society and technology.I am specialized in social and societal innovation, new and emerging technologies, digitalization, digital transformation, qualification and the future of work. Key areas of expertise: Innovation strategies, policies and instruments, regional policies and analyses, studies on regional and national systems of innovation, the evaluation of R&D&I programmes and structural funds (ERDF).I joined VDI Technologiezentrum in the year and since then held various positions related to innovation policies, research and project management. Looking back at numerous large projects, recent references of my work include the management of the NRW platform “Wirtschaft und Arbeit 4.0”, the dialogue process “Unternehmen :wachsen” on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and the evaluation of the programme “Zwanzig20” of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.A focus on innovation and change is inherent to my career since the very beginning. I hold a doctorate (Dr. rer. Pol.) in Economics from the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena and used to work as lecturer and researcher in the fields of Evolutionary and Institutional Economics.I am open to connecting with people and project partners who are interested in an exchange of ideas around societal transformation and technology, social innovation, innovation policy, the development of new projects, and/or the discussion of job opportunities at VDI Technologiezentrum.
